Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - an Canadian and American artist and singer. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music as folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco was the very first musician to start her own label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in New York City, York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who met Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal and her father has Italian origins. Ani's song, 32 Flavors was composed by her and sung by Ani. This song appears on her album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995.
