Angela Sun was born in Santa Clara County, California on 19 October 1979. She is a American journalist and sportscaster. She is also a documentary film maker and TV presenter. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Sociology from the University of California. Sun was a pro at surfing. After taking part in several pro-am surfing contests, she was offered sponsorship by Roxy Reef Billabong Vans and various other major companies. It was the recognition that she earned from her participation in these events that led her into the realm of entertainment. She later became an investigative film director and journalist, as also an athlete. Sun was a anchor who has worked on various news networks. She was a Fox Sports Net correspondent in 2003. In 2012 she hosted American Ninja Warrior with Matt Iseman & Jonny Moseley. Sun hosted The Yahoo Sports Minute during 2014. She was the first Asian American personality to appear on ESPN Fox Sports Yahoo Sports and Tennis Channel. Sun has starred in many films, and earned recognition and praise for her acting prowess. Sun has worked with films including Goliath (2016 (Hit the Floor, 2014-2016), A Perfect Getaway 2009), Street Kings (2008), Glowsticks and Drumsticks 2004, and Shackled. Sun's feature-length documentary Platic Paradise The Great Pacific Garbage Patch was a film that focused on the impact of plastic pollution on the oceans. She created, wrote and directed it herself.
