Firefly is Whedon the next big hit television series. She must have left an indelible impression because the one episode that she appeared on led to her being a celebrity. On Firefly Glau was in a position to display not only her acting abilities but also her skills in fighting. The training she received as an assassin provided her with an opportunity to make use of the full range of athletic skills she has. The classical background of Summer Glau makes her a highly accomplished ballerina. The talent she displays in her dancing also include the study of flamenco and tango but it was a broken toe that ended her dancing career. Firefly was only on for only one season but it gained a huge follower base. Whedon got so passionate about the show that he returned after a few years. Summer Glau was still getting quality work in the interim. Summer Glau appeared on television series including Cold Case, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
